The Berges Family Foundation’s four focus areas – Youth Empowerment, STEM Preparedness, Cultural Arts Engagement, and Support for Heroes – help change lives an inch wide and a mile deep, which creates positive change for entire communities and makes St. Louis a better place.

It Started With Jim & Cathy Berges
Jim and Cathy Berges were partners in marriage and in life for over fifty-one years; forty of those years were spent in St. Louis, raising their son, Kevin, and being involved in the community. Together they started the Berges Family Foundation to enrich the lives of individuals in the St. Louis community and provide better opportunities to make all of St. Louis a better place to live, work, play, and invest. Sadly, Cathy passed away in 2020, but the foundation continues helping others and encourages giving through purposeful philanthropy.
The BFF Carries on With Jim & Elizabeth
Now Jim is married to and running the foundation with Elizabeth Mannen, Managing Director, Investments, of the Mannen Financial Group of Wells Fargo Advisors. Together, and with the help of the community, Jim and Elizabeth support the institutions and organizations that enrich Saint Louis and help fund cultural engagement, STEM preparedness, youth empowerment, and support for our heroes and first responders.
